Check the product’s wear rating and intended use for your rooms, pets and foot traffic. Scratch-resistant does not mean scratch-proof; furniture pads and clean entry mats help protect the surface.
Prepare the foundation.
A flat, suitable subfloor, correct expansion space and compatible underlayment matter. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for transitions, temperature and installation around fixed cabinetry.

Can click flooring handle kitchen spills?+
Many vinyl products are marketed as waterproof, but performance and warranty conditions differ. Prompt cleanup still matters, and waterproof planks do not make the whole room or subfloor waterproof.
What should I compare when choosing a product?+
Look at core construction, wear layer, intended use, underlayment requirements and warranty exclusions. Bring samples into the room to compare color, texture and sheen in its lighting.
